I believe, at least in California, that the welfare/unemployment benefits are too generous. I recently interviewed a guy for a job opening. When I told him the job started at $14/hr with full benefits he actually laughed and walked out. As he walked out he said he does better than that sitting at home doing nothing. I think we need to hand out Gov cheese and rent assistance but no free money. There has to be some motivation to go back to work.

The President that made that quote....("Ask not what your country can do for you...ask what you can do for your country"), would spin in his grave if he saw what this country has become....

Maybe you're offering too little money. You ever thought about that? $14 per hour in California is laughable now.

Isn't the minimum wage well over $10/hr?
