I verified with the price scanner that $39.84 is indeed the new price.

Probably going to go alot cheaper too. Just not a good selling point-blank annual oil changes. Sounds good on a sales presentation but really if your car is under warranty you can't go a year/ 20,000 unless you fix the books and if you have a beater your not paying that money for oil and if you drive low miles a year any synthetic will be fine for a year.

I knew it was just a matter of time. Now where will it bottom $34.99 or $29.99 give or take a few pennies, before they blow it out and call it a mistake? It has to remain higher than EP, since it is supposed to be their top of the line PCMO. Or do they eliminate EP? There are a lot of different ways they can go with this. One thing I'm pretty sure of, it is coming down more..........

I'm guessing it'll stop at $32.99.

its this a walmart only thing or is it everywhere?

I've seen it when it first came out but its odd that none of my friends have asked about it.

How many months has it been since this was released?

It would be a decent deal for those who perform maintenance on their families vehicles like kids away at college or parents that you only see a few times a year. You'd have peace of mind that they were good to go.

I still trust EP more. I have seen two uoas claiming to be AP and both had crazy low tbn after 5k miles and 7k miles respectfully. I would check tbn after 5k, 7.5k, 10k etc. Just to make sure it doesn't drop off to a critical level.

It's a Walmart thing. And you still get the $10 Walmart e-card rebate until Sept. 8!

I've done annual changes on regular Mobil 1 for years. Never had an issue.

The car will be junk long before the engine.

This pretty much sums up their problem, another reason is EP has a good rep and a good following. The problem with AP is the same problem Pennzoil has with PU. It competes against products sold by its parent company. The only difference is the price is ridiculous, offering no value. With PU it's good luck finding it, and even then most people with grab PP because it's a little cheaper, and works very well.
