DELO 400LE 5W40 as replacement for T6

I also ran the T6 CJ-4 but ran out and until Ford sorts out their CK-4 vs Powerstroke issue, I have switched to the DELO 400 LE 5W-40 since it was recommended by a couple 7.3 forums I read.

My 7.3s actually seem to run better with the DELO LE.

This is only seat of the pants. It is just personal observation.

I don't think you will hurt your PSD by running it based on the reviews I have found.

Lets hope Ford sorts out their "issue" soon and we start seeing some UOAs of the new CK-4 in Powerstrokes.

Maybe one of the guys on here can explain in detail why the new CK-4 is superior and how better lubrication is accomplished while lowering Phosphorous and Zinc.

CK4 Delo is not on Ford's list of blessed oils.
Weak sauce. Not enough Phosphorous for Ford's liking. PQIA results are on their site.
Since you found CJ4, it's OK according to Ford, and a very good oil.
CJ4 is getting scarce though....

I have not seen any differences between T6 and Delo except for the cost--Delo is cheaper. I recently saw 2.5 gallon bottles of Delo LE 400 5W-40 CJ-4 at a Walmart in Sheridan, WY for $36.00. I did not have any room in the truck or I would have cleaned them out.

Ford's list is for CK-4 oil, not CJ-4.
