I have, it's a Purolator filter made to Ford's standards and is a quality filter. There are better though.

Are these any different than the Walmart filters?

Just use a Fram Ultra XG2 - $10 at Wal Mart, better filtering efficiency and lasts waaay longer.

I use them in my track driven Mustang with no issue.

Also don't forget that 'racing' oil filters usually trade efficiency for higher flow, but any FL-820 equivalent is going to flow more than enough for a Ford Modular V8 application (which is what I'm assuming you're using this on right?)

The Fram Ultra XG2 is a good filter. If you still want a "racing" filter, there's the Fram HP2
