I follow this guy on YouTube. He does great engineering "nerd level" videos, but at a simple enough level to understand.

Yea that guy is kinda nerdy but I've always liked his videos. Watched a lot of them. I've rarely found anything he says to be false.

I would be more convinced it was worth the price if they would have tested identical cars with Conventional oil.
My guess is they would have been good too.
Manufacturers tolerances and QC is better than ever.
We get over 200,000 easy out of company trucks that are abused, idled 8+ hours a day and oil changed every 5-8,000 miles.
What gets me is you don't save any money. You go 4x longer and pay 5x more.

I find in amazing that engines last over 25 miles when conventional oil is used.
