Good deal. Less than $8 per 5 quarts. I got a couple cases. Maybe.

SUPER tempting, but remember -- Amazon is flooded with fakes these days, and the products that aren't eligible for Prime are that much more likely to be fake. Even if this did turn out to be a case of 12, I'd be leery of using it because there's less assurance of what's actually in the bottles.

Ships from and sold by Direct Home Supplies

Direct Home Supplies storefront
4.5 out of 5 stars

Reading the reviews, Sounds like a place that buys close-outs or "damaged freight", ETC ETC ETC and then sells it on amazon

A third party mistake will NOT be honored. Amazon will only rectify something such as this when sold and shipped by their entity.

Looking through their feedback, there are a couple people saying they only received one when the listing said x. Someone as late as June 26 said the listing was for a case of 6, but only received one bottle.

And 85% positive feedback isn't that good. Positive feedback ratings of 99% and higher are fairly common.

Search for other Motul oils on Amazon. You will find plenty of 1-star reviews on various Motuls from the same seller that they only received one bottle, and the seller wouldn't honor the price and could not be contacted after the sale.

I would dispute it with my CC company based on a false advertisement.

Amazon has refunded me for third party mistakes before. They want you to contact them first but any time ive had a problem and called amazon they always make it right.....

Amazon or the seller will for the most part, allow you to keep the few quarts sent and refund your money. However, best of luck trying to get them to send you a full case for a quart price (third parties). I have gone this route before to no avail. Amazon has on several occasions (if they sold the product) rectified an issue for me by sending the appropriate and advertised amount. I have definitely scored through Amazon.

Is this a decent oil for extended OCI's or does the ester base preclude longer OCI's as somebody posted on the Amazon Reviews? The guy is claiming it is a 3.5K OCI mile oil....sounds ridiculous....

I looked up ACEA A5/B5:

"A5/B5 Stable, stay-in-grade oil intended for use at extended drain intervals in high performance gasoline and car + light van diesel engines designed to be capable of using low friction low viscosity oils with a High temperature / High shear rate viscosity of 2.9 to 3.5 mPa.s. These oils may be unsuitable for use in some engines. Consult owner manual or
handbook if in doubt."

Apparently the 'reviewer' doesn't know what he is talking about since ACEA states "intended for use at extended drain intervals..."
