Any idea what this does? Don't have the bag with me (asking for someone else):
Here's a pic of it, and one of the bag showing where it is.
Annoying thing is it's never explained or listed as a feature on any of the product Websites.

Is it some kind of device to attach another bag? but apparently it pulls out a bit and doesn't detach and nothing happens inside the bag either, according to owner.

Looks like the bag is a Samsonite outside US, but sold under American Tourister badge in US.

It has a separate tag area for that. But what you said is possible too. But IDK it would be such a small narrow piece of plastic then.

Looks to me like it's an attachment point for a smaller bag with straps but no wheels. That way you can roll two at once. I have one similar to the one shown.

its on the wrong side to be a secondary bag attachment.
They are typically on the opposite side of the handle and this looks a little thin for that.
