Let's fly a kite

Any recommendations?

Bought this little caterpillar kite a few years back. Perfect for a small child - one rigid stick, flies easily, and rolls up into a little envelope of 3"x15"x0.5".



Id like something that soars and steers a bit better, but that packs away to minimal volume, and is low cost. Im not looking to invest in kites, just fly another one.

Recommendations?

I liked the box kite with wings for stability. I had something like this:

The other one I liked was the parafoil. I had a couple like this:

In a strong seashore breeze, this one ended up crushing my kite string (cord) spool when I wound it in, it had so much tension on the cord.
