Ford Fusion Semi-Automatic Transmission - Dual Clu

I read the dual clutch 6 speed used in the Fiesta & Focus , is problematic . How about the transmission in the 2016 - 2017 Ford Fusion ? Is it the same / similar dual clutch transmission .

Thinking about buying another small / wedium size car . Seems the pricing on Fords is more attractive than on the Chevys .

No the Fusion uses the 6F35 regular 6 speed.

If you get a 1.0L automatic Focus it will come with a conventional 6 speed

I am in total agreement with you on the DCT transmission. Stay away. The wife has a 13 Fusion as a state vehicle with the 2.5 and regular 6-speed. Other than a couple recalls, and a mouse infestation where they munched on the engine wiring, it's been virtually a trouble free vehicle with almost 90K on the clock.
