So I bought a 5 qt jug of Mobil 1 and a jug of Pennzoil. I submitted the on-line rebate for each of them the same day. In 4 weeks I got the PP rebate. After 8 weeks I am still waiting on the Mobil 1 rebate.

Yes Shell rebates are very fast now.

I bought a 2.5 gallon jug of Shell Rotella T5 that was on clearance for $15. Sent in the online rebate on 6/6/17, and the rebate has already been mailed.

Even without the rebates SOPUS is always cheaper than Mobil. Even when the prices are matched Pennzoil has the 5L jugs and Mobile 4.73L jugs.

Mobil has certainly been slower the past 2 rebate periods. But, they still show up eventually. If you go to 10 weeks w/o getting a check I'd call the rebate center to track it down.

Maybe Mobil has to check to see if the oil is counterfeit or not......... lol
I have had rebates take 16 weeks and I just don't buy and use rebates anymore. Good luck!

An interesting note. I got a refund check the other day for an overpayment. Not oil related.
I looked at the check and I only had 30 days from the written date to cash it........
On these oil rebates- how long is the check good for?

Not my experience in my part of the country, and not when dealing with synthetics. Pennzoil UP always costs more than M1. The exception seems to be the new Mobil 1 Annual Protection, which I haven't bothered with yet.

60/90 days typically. How do I know? I exceeded the limit in early 2016 with my Pennzoil rebate checks by going 68 days. I received them during Christmas week and then buried them under paperwork. Didn't see them again until past 60 days. I called the Pennzoil Rebate Center and they said they would still honor them if my bank did. Well, the bank let them go in w/o a fuss...and I got my cash. Now I don't "bury" my checks any more.

The only time I went past 8 weeks before getting a check was on a M1 rebate. I called them up on week 10 and they found their error. I got those checks in week 12. For the 2 years and 10 or so rebate checks, I'm batting 100% and quite satisfied. It's not 2013-2015 anymore when rebate checks were often hit and miss...esp. Pennzoil.

Here in Connecticut, I always see Pennzoil Plat cheaper than Mobil 1. It's not much of a difference though, usually $1.00 or less...except when Rollbacks are in play. Considering Pennzoil has rebates all year long, and Mobil 1 for only 4-6 months, your timing for M1 is a little tougher to combine the rebate with a rollback/on sale price.

How'd you check the status of the rotella rebate? Mines only showing my pennzoil rebates from last year when I google "rotella rebate status" and am directed to shell but I noticed in the web address it says pennzoil. I think I submitted around 6/7/17 shrug

The site is: www.shellrebatecenter.com/rotella
I guess it helps if you read the terms and conditions

Pennzoil not rebating my purchases left such a bad taste in my mouth where I'll never-ever buy their products again.
Same with Remington ammo rebates..... never-ever use Remington ammo again.

Well, I just re submitted my two QSGB rebates. SOPUS is saying they didn't see the date on receipt when it was clearly there. SMH frown

If they don't make it right the oils going back to Wal Mart

SOPUS has denied every rebate I sent in. I stopped buying their oil and fuel after that.

I sent in my Pennzoil rebate and got a check 3 weeks later. Very fast and happy about that.
Sent in rebate for Mobil 1 on April 24th, checked on status ...... still in pending.
