Seriously boring photos here.
No surprises - not even one tiny piece of ANYTHING between any of the pleats.
No torn pleats, the media felt VERY tough & durable!
Engine seems to be very clean inside.
15,473 total miles on this filter over 2 oil change intervals.
2008 Ford F-150 4.6 with 145,712 miles
Magnets are 8mm N50 neodymium
Oil was "American XT" (Warren) 5W-30 Syn-Blend on clearance from a local Family Dollar that closed its doors.

NOTE: The torn media by my thumb is damage from trying open the can & get the element out!

Well, it did its job but looks to be tired now!

Maybe it looks that way in the photos - But in person it's actually still very clean.

I have seen FAR FAR FAR worse.

Of course, "re-assembly" is impossible!

Magnets will always catch something.
They are perfectly nickel plated, so you can see some stuff on them.

In my old 2006 Grand Caravan, they would be completely covered black every 5,000 miles.
I was STUNNED to see so little metal from this truck.

That's just glare from the sky - it was an overcast day. You're seeing clouds!

I do not think I have seen this placement of magnets here before. I know the Saturn factory did the same for the spin-on transmission filters. Are these magnets available at Harbor Freight?

I've been doing it on every oil, (diesel) fuel, and transmission filter on every vehicle since 2007.

I always clean stuff off of them. You'd be really surprised to see how much iron based crud is in diesel fuel!

I don't know. eBay sells them, though. Many other places as well.

Looks good here man. We had a member who went 20k miles with TGs. Good work and thank you for taking the time to do it.

I think so.
Not too expensive (cheaper than a Wix) for a 5000 mile OCI, rated for 10,000 mile intervals, but can apparently go for 15,000 miles (or more) as well.
It is what I picked for my sisters SUV (Hyundai Santa Fe) that she usually does ~7,500 OCI, but sometimes goes over.
First Fram labeled filter I have used in a long time (actually first one since they started using the suregrip coating back in 2000 or so).
