Own one for the first time on the 4R from prior owner, keep or chuck it?

I've never had good luck with these on all different types of vehicles, and this goes for the Fram AirHog too.
 
A stock style treated paper element is a sure bet. You don't need more flow than that allowed by that treated paper element and you do need the filtering efficiency that comes with a stock style filter.

If oiled foam was better you would see them on vehicles right from the factory. Believe it or not those factory engineers are smart, do a goo job and know a lot about all this stuff.
 
What I liked most about an oil soaked air filter is how is covered my MAF sensor with oil. Keeps it lubed up so I don't have to oil it.
