Robinone-car-Oil purifier? Not too sure about this

So since this is round 3, what benefit do you really achieve? It's a detachable bypass. Unless it removed TAN's, could it really extend the service life of the oil in a standard gas PCMO?

Looks like they're using a MicFil (German company) 0.5 micron filter and pumping at just under 60psi.

You can buy the filter itself for $28. MicFil sell it as part of filtration systems for industrial use and make similar claims of what it can do.

Here's a datasheet on the filter:

I just updated the link as it wasn't always working smoothly.

Here are some interesting specs for the smallest size of the smallest ultrafine 0.5 micron filter, which I'm guessing they're using in the RobinOne.

- Specified for engine oil tank size of 50 litres.
- 500 to 600 hours filter life which would be when bypass filtering 50 litres

So you can see why RobinOne say the filter is good for 20 purifications in a car engine.

- The published efficiency in the data sheet at 2 microns is 93% for gearbox oil, 95% for diesel fuel, 97% for hydraulic oil.
