I noticed at Walmart that Mobil 1 Annual Protection carries the Dexos 1 Gen 2 license number (begins with "D" instead of "GB").

Very interesting!
I took a peek at a bottle of M1 AP at MalWart a month or so ago and it looked like an "old" dexos1 symbol on it...I will take a peek at that license number next time I am there.
Especially interesting because neither AP nor EP flavors of M1 show up on the Gen 2 list at the moment.

Another possibility is the SYNpower name will be dropped from products

I wouldn't be completely surprised. I think MaxLife is their most well known name for the PCMO line.
