All,

I have two ten filter cases of the no longer available Toyota Japanese 20004s that I bought from a local dealer a few years ago that I believe may be looking for a new home. The V8 that they were originally purchased for has left the family due to unforeseen circumstances. I have been using them at every change without issues since their purchase. All I would want to be doing is get my investment back out of them. The cases are unopened and have been kept in my home since acquired. I am not looking to get any more for them than what I originally had in them.

Thought I would offer them here before anywhere else, as I realize BITOG users will know more about what they are.

If you have interest, PM me.

How much or are you running a blind auction?

Hello all,
Thank you for PMing me and thanks to those who I have been speaking to.
It was and still is my intent to try to help someone from this BITOG community who may have an interest in these honest to God original Japanese 90915-20004 filters - however, I will not sell them at a financial loss.

As a result of this post, however, I have had my honesty and sincerity by some placed into question.... It has been said there is NO way someone has these or this many of them - In addition, I have had multiple people question my trustworthiness because my post count is only 15 or so (even though I have been a member since 2006 - I guess I am supposed to just post to have a post count).

It has not been my intent to run a "blind auction" - if you want to suggest I have a "reserve" I will admit that I am guilty of that. Just to be clear, I asked if you were interested to PM me. I started with the first person who PMd me and I will work my way down the line. The first person that gets above my perspective of my investment will be the person I deal with.

If you have PMd me, I have told you were you were in that line. I immediately responded last night to the first one who PMd me and we discussed price (and let it be clear that that individual did NOT say in this thread that he had PMd me but I treated him just like any of you who did). That individual actually said the price that I was after was "fair" is someone were buying a few of them but he was wanting to do a bit better as he wanted to purchase all of them.

Everyone that I have had contact with has been told that these filters are NOT cheap. If you do a quick GOOGLE search you can easily see where the cost of these have been as much as $16 per filter. I do not have that much in them; however, I am not going to give them away as that makes no financial sense. What I have in them is my business and not yours.
I have told those who contacted me that they were essentially the cost of a Mobil 1 filter - they were not the cost of a normal Toyota filter that you just get at the parts desk... however, I would think if I tell you it is the cost of a Mobil 1 filter, is it difficult to figure out what that means?)

When I purchased these filters I had two V8s - a 1st Generation Tundra and a 2005 V8 Limited 4Runner. In the last year, I have lost my Tundra due to a frame issue that I received essentially no help from Toyota with even though the truck only had 40K miles on it. When I bought these filters originally, I bought from both the local dealers as well as from out of state dealers. At the time, I had nearly seven cases... These cases that I now have are from the following locations : Jim Lynch in Hazelwood, MO; Toyota of West Plains in West Plains, MO; Dan Cava's Toyota World in Fairmont, WV; and an unopened case from Hamer Toyota in Mission Hills, CA. When thinking about price everyone must understand that I paid shipping costs to get possession of these filters when I purchased them. If you kept up with this thread, you will say there are only two cases for sale - but there are four places listed here. Yes, I am planning on keeping nearly half for my 2005 V8 4Runner.

Now, for those of you who are questioning my sincerity and trustworthiness.
Please find the following:
1st) A picture of 39 filters - one unopened case from Hamer and 29 others.

2nd) A second picture of a picture of the filters... If you will look closely you will see that these are truly 20004s from JAPAN not Thailand.
Sorry guys, I had to open another case to get pictures.... so only the case from Hamer is now Unopened

3rd) Finally a picture of the label from the unopened Hamer Toyota case.

So, now that all the "proof" is in order... and all this is off my chest...

A) You should be able to figure out what I have in these.
I'll try to make it simple for you.
The cost of a Mobil 1 filter plus the shipping of all these filters to my house originally... and so it is clear each case came from a different place so I got no break on the shipping cost.

B) It is still my desire to help someone from BITOG here... I don't see how I am going to use these two additional cases that I am asking if there is interest in them, but I will not take a loss on them. If no one wants to work with me, I'll just hold onto them.

C) I am sorry to anyone who feels that I am disgusted with them - the points of this post were not meant at one individual or their emails to me... but it does kinda hurt when you are actually trying to help someone and many members are questioning your reasoning and validity.

Jesus dude, enough of the "War and Peace" explanation and tap dancing around the subject.

What do you want for them? How much per filter or in case quantities? It's a simple straight up set of questions one should not have to find out behind closed doors.

Yep. Just say you want $___ per filter plus shipping.
