I will give them credit. John Deere picked it up and put in a new engine, under complete warranty.
I've had a F510 "zero turn" mower since 1999. It has a Kawasaki motor/transmission unit and is as solid as it gets. Biggest problem have with it is the directional control cable. Three of them over the years and quite the pain to change.
