This is a sample from my 2014 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 and 7293 miles on the sample of 0W20 Amsoil Signature Series. Zero makeup oil was added. Unit sees 90% interstate use at 65-80 mph using E85 50% of the time. My truck now has 53,000 miles on it. I am participating in Pennzoil's oil program so the next oil sample will be from using Pennzoil's product for comparison.

Thanks for the report, looks like a excellent choice for this engine. Will be posting my Blackstone report on PUP for my 5.3 soon.

My last oil sample was at 35,124 miles using amsoil ss. I sent it to Detroit Diesel since I worked for them at the time and the sample only cost me 11 bucks. Here was there findings.

I do see copper dropped 20ppm since last time. Blackstone tells me the high copper is common to GM V8 engines.

This is the oil sample using 0W20 Pennzoil Ultra platinum using gas to liquid oil technology. This sample has 6733 miles on it with my truck being used for in town, highway, towing boat and using both regular gas and E-85...Previous sample was using Amsoil SS 0W20 under the same conditions with slightly more mileage on the Amsoil (7293). Both samples were done when my oil life monitor showed 18% oil life left.

Thats really good Iron wear levels for a L83 chevy engine. Mine isnt nearly as good but mine has only 14k miles at moment. Copper during the wear in which based on blackstones say so is still going on from sample around 9k. I also had some lead on my last sample. Your engine is incredible based on other samples ive seen. Once that copper settles ur gona have nice engine.
