I have a question about making the seal attach again. Over the years, it's started to come off on both front doors. It attaches by pressing onto the metal seam behind it. Similar to [-

Is there some kind of glue or adhesive that I can put on there to make it stick again? It looks like it needs to peal back for the curtain airbags, but this is at the very end. I still don't want to put something on there that will hinder them working.

Mercedes sells something like a nastier rubber cement for these uses. Im sure other vendors do too. Ive also seen weatherstrip adhesive at parts stores.

If the strip has a metal inner channel, smash it closed more and it will grip tighter. Otherwise, yes you can use the black w/s adhesive like what 3M sells.

The rubber shrinks with time. If you don't mind a slightly larger gap somewhere along the bottom, you can slide the rubber towards where it's coming "off the rail" to take the tension off of it and it will again stay in place.

Or glue.
