Continental is making some very good tires these days. I have installed two sets of the Control Contact Tour A/S (DT's version of the TrueContact) on "beaters" and they have been very impressive from a ride, traction and treadwear standpoint. They are even more impressive when you can purchase them for $230 off around Black Friday each year.

I just bought these for my 2013 Mazda CX-5. These tires are about 3 pds lighter than my OEM tires and you can feel the difference when turning. I have only used these tires in the rain, but the snow traction according to TR looks great. The mileage has been a bit tougher to hit than the OEM tires, but we are in the middle of winter so I'm reserving judgement until we're in the spring.
