What weight oil should I run in this bike? I think Yamaha recommends 10W40.

It's not a high-strung bike, you can run almost anything: PYB, I think I have Rotella in mine right now.

I use to run Valvoline or Castrol GTX 20W50 in my older Yamaha singles. It worked fine, but they were a bit older and bigger in capacity.
Now days, with that bike, I would be reaching for a mineral 15W40 HDEO like Delvac, Delo, Rotella.
There are both full and semi-synthetic HDEO options too, but I really like the Delo 15W40 as a bike oil. Mate is running it in his 600cc Honda single right now. He likes it best of all the oils he has tried so far, shear resistant and low consumption.

Run anything you like basically. We have a Raptor 125 4-wheeler, same engine. I've run quite a few different oils from ester synthetics to HDEO with no discernible difference from the engine.
After wet clutch slippage issues with some Castrol Syntec, I always run JASO MA rated oils in my ATV, RT6 5W40 usually.
T5 Rotella would be great and easy on the pocket book.
