STP increases viscosity how much?

Morbid curiosity. Say you put 1 bottle into 5 quarts of 5w30. What would you end up with? Approximately.

With the size of bottle the oil will most likely stay in grade. Don't know if the winter rating will suffer. The add pack will be diluted though, can't escape that.

Oh don't worry.

In most cases it actually dilutes ZDDP. You don't need ZDDP. Newer additives work better and don't make sludge.

KV100 for STP is approximately 200 cSt where a 5w30 is around 11 cSt KV100.

Plug numbers into calculator here.

I think the recommended amount is 10% with STP. One 16oz (400 ml) bottle
for every 4 to 5 bottles of oil. They used to say that it make a 30 wt oil
into a 50 wt.at 10%

Seen a guy at Autozone buying some 10w40 and two bottles of STP. He said he was putting it all into his not very old 4 runner I saw in the parking lot. That brew is definitely thick.

Anyone know what impact Schaeffers #132 has on viscosity? It seems to have a similar viscosity to STP.

If someone can locate the data sheet and get the KV100 we can easily figure it out

Talk about sketchy information. This is about all I could find:

One pint of #132 Moly E.P. Oil Treatment to every 4 to 5 quarts of engine oil.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
API Gravity 60F (ASTM D-287) 29.2
Specific Gravity .88
Flash Point F/C (ASTM D-92) 475/246
Fire Point F/C (ASTM D-92) 510/265.5

Right off their product page, the viscosity at 100C is between 250 cSt and 290 cSt.

Using a vis of 270 cSt for the #132 and an 11 cSt starting point:

1 pint added to 4 quarts should result in a 14.36 cSt blend.

1 pint added to 5 quarts should result in a 13.67 cSt blend.

Thanks, the PDS I pasted from showed what I posted above.
