Recently purchased an '01 F350 7.3 Powerstroke with 142,xxx miles. I don't believe it's ever had anything other than petro diesel it's entire life. I have an opportunity to use B50 biodiesel available from a local fuel station but want to know what the general consensus is. I understand that if I started using biodiesel that I'd have to change my fuel filter fairly soon thereafter. My greatest concern though is the current fuel lines and seals or O-rings that may not be compatible with that high a concentration of biodiesel. Should I just stay the course with petro diesel and the Stanadyne additive I'm using or can I make the switch without effort or concern. Thoughts, please.

I'd probably run no more than b20 to start and have 2-3 fuel filters ready.
after a few thousand miles might be ok for straight b50.

if they sell regular diesel as well.

go 50/50 with the b50 and regular. or slightly less b50.

It will clean the fuel system up like you wouldnt believe.
