I have 42" Toro ZTR with the new Toro built engine. Took quite a hit at the dealer for filter and oil. Very difficult to search and find any cross reference info for Toro filter 120-4276.

I have a couple leftover PureOne PL14610 from a Triumph Sprint ST.

They look similar, but the Purolator is longer, clearance is not a problem.

Any ideas?

What year and model of mower? I see the OEM filter online for around $15

if it were me I would just find something with the same thread size and similar size.

This site indicates that the 120-4276 replaces 127-9222:
https://www.torodealer.com/en-us/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=120-4276%28ToroParts%29

This ebay page also indicates some relationship between the 2 filters: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Genuine-TORO-Twin...=item1c5be39149

If you check 127-9222 at the WIX site, it comes up with 51360 or NAPA 1360.

It's a start, but proceed carefully. Call WIX to confirm. The new filter appears to have an o-ring seal while the old one appears to be a flat gasket (doesn't matter if it seals).

^^ This.

Most Briggs, many Kohlers and import engines are a PH4967.

I recently bought a box of 6 Champion PH3614 equivalents off ebay for ~$2.50/ea shipped for my 18.5hp Briggs single cyl on my Sears rider.
