Hi good day, im using valvoline maxlife 10w40 can anyone recommend me an OCI. Do note my engine sump holds roughly 3.25 quarts of oil.
The manual states to change it every 3000 miles but thats back in 2005

THANKS :_)

I re-recommend the owner's manual 3,000.

Seriously, there's too much to know about your situation. Do you do short trips? Does your car idle alot? 3.25 quarts of oil will age quicker than 5 quarts under the same circumstances.

Use the same brand of oil and send some off for analysis. Maybe your oil is good for 4,000 or 5,000 miles. Maybe 3,000 is a good mileage for your situation. Cheers, Kira

about 30% highway and 70% city driving.....i guess i will continue with the manufacturer recommendation.

Considering the small oil capacity of your engine, that you do mostly city driving, and that the owner's manual says 3K, I'd leave it at that unless you do some UOA's or get solid advice from your car's enthusiast community that it can do more. 3K OCI's in the owner's manual haven't been the norm for a long time, so the fact that it says that probably means it's not advisable to push it.
