I had a mechanic install a fuel regulator inside my engine compartment. He forgot to plug the one side and fuel leaked out for a few days onto the lower areas, manifold etc.
I plugged the leak but the smell is still beyond strong inside the garage.

What could I spray onto the area to remove the smell? I do not want to spray anything in that area.
Thanks
George

Are you sure the leak is fixed? Gasoline evaporates very quickly, the smell should be gone in a few days at most.

When I check the car outside with the hood open there is no smell.
Once in the garage the smell is very strong.
Where the leak was coming from is completely dry

gas evaporates fast If it still smells overpowering after a day..
and there isnt a puddle somewhere from previous leak .. its still leaking.

I have never had this problem before. If parked outside the garage, there is no smell. Once inside and closed, it becomes overwhelming.
