Oil light comes on before OC, then goes away

Oil level is fine. This happened just before my last OC , then it went away after the oil change. It will flash sometimes during normal driving, but not all the time. Car in question is the TSX

Check the connection to the oil pressure sender.

Next, get it checked out by a mechanic.

This was whatever the dealer uses, so new filter each time with the oem spec 5w20 I believe, even though the cap calls for 5w30. The oci is about 3,000 miles.

Wouldn't be the first Honda I saw that had a pressure sensor fail after 12 years.

Agree. I had several go bad over the years, usually they leak. I would get a mechanical gauge on it and verify. I would believe if the pressure is too low, the engine would become noisy.

+1 If its still running and not making a racket thats 99% the problem.
