I just completed the first oil change on my '15 Tacoma. I saved a sample but should I send this in to Blackstone now or wait a few cycles after break-in to establish a baseline?

I know the urge is great to send one in, but hold off a few OCI. Unless you just must. Lol

You'll not see anything of importance. Likely elevated metal and silicon from sealants. After a few OCI cycles, send one in and begin looking for what your engine does as far as trends.

Me? I'd save the $$$$ and use a premium FS oil and the premium oil filter and just drive it.

Well the consensus seems to be to wait. Thanks for the feedback.

It would be wise to wait if you ask me. You likely already know that the factory fill will be riddled with high wear metals, silicon, etc. & so will the next 2-3 oil changes. I'd wait a while before spending the money.
