Hi Peeps,
Recent oil change from my 2011 Volvo S60 with 2.0T engine. Currently at 71,000+Km, 45K Mi.
Penzoil Platinum 5W30, 12,400Km / 7,750 mi on this OCI
Volvo filter purchased from parts dealer. Counted 80 pleats! Pleats were still tight and firm. Prolly could go 10K mi with no problem with so much filter media.

Overall engine is fairly clean. Filter picked up a few specks of carbon. Filter is good quality stuff.

Enjoy the oil filter pics

Have a good day guys!

I intentionally avoid good filters like this in hopes that cheap ones will kill my car sooner.

This way I can justify buying a newer DD

Curious about the where the filter is made. Looks similar to many filters posted here with China as coo. Doesn't look much like the linked Mann to me.

That aside, looks to be solid construction and got the job done. No adbv required with this one, so I assume either thread end up orientation or block bypass.

Thanks for pics.

I can't remember COO for the oil filter but I believe it was msde by the same manufacturer that supplies Volvo. Construction looks similar.

Label on it is "Professional Parts Sweden". Unfortunately I threw away the rest of the box. So no COO

Yes filter is mounted with threads facing up. No ADBV needed but the one I got from the dealer did have a pancake style black nitrile ADBV though. This one may be the old style ADBV with the runner ring on the under side of the threads?
