Would any of the motul 10w40 motorcycle oils be a good choice for a commercial mower in Georgia summer heat?

Sure, but they can be pricey. Prolly just as effective to use Rotella T6 smile

Formerly in marine engineering. In an earlier life I owned my own petroleum tank truck, and hauled for the majors and independent's.

Pretty expensive oil to change out every 50 to 100 hours, which is what, every 2-3 weeks?

SuperTech 15W40 will do the same thing, for a LOT cheaper.

You bet! Any of the full synthetic oils with high ZDDP will work very well for OPE.

I use Mobil 1, 5W-40 TDT in my OPE, as it's a very robust oil with plenty of ZDDP. I use M1, 15W-50 in my generators.
