If i uses HDEO 15w-40 in my new fx730v kawasaki engine will it void my warranty? my owners manual does not list 15w-40.

It won't good your warranty, but it will give them a reason to deny a claim if you have an oil-related failure.

If 20w50 is one of the recommendation, I can't see why you would have issues with a 15w40. Chances of having an oil related failure are small.
