You've pretty much covered all the high end oils.

Seems right now, 1000 miles is your max interval on that motor to keep the metal down, and wear wise seems near the same, amongst the different oils , although iron seem to drop alittle with the Redline.

Im really thinking that motor is just going to shed higher than the average street bike.

Interesting to see how bad the Valvoline does in that motor.

since the company I worked for used the Delo 400 Hydroisomerized oil [GPII what ever] And seeing the insides of some high mile and or high hour engines I can't see little if any benefits of the syn oils except maybe at the harshest extremes.

pretty good. whole lotta fun! I'm a bit bummed out by a radiator leak I discovered about a week ago. Then I discovered a broken bracket between the engine mount and the exhaust. Hopefully I'll be up and running by within the next week or so.

I think the iron is down because of the 4 magnets I added to the oil path. Silicon is up because I installed a new cam on this oil run.

Am I correct in reading that you are pessimistic about the valvoline?

I'm gonna see if amsoil will exchange the 7 quarts of amsoil 10w60 I have for some 60 based on my dissatisfaction and armchair reasearch

Not at all, but id be shocked if it showed better wear numbers than that redline.

I guess I am missing something here, I even checked the last link you provided. I see nothing on what oils are what in the UOAs...
I would love to know which one is the Valvoline because I am sure it must be one of the best reports out of all of these.
It would be good to have a list of what oil is what, simple by listing the oil and mileage it was in use so we can compare.
Again, I know it just be me! *L* But I cant find it. Im sure there must be others!

not really

you changed cams - ie another variable

not a valid comparison

But data that isn't good for any kind of conclusion.

But now the bike doesn't stall on deceleration! Data means less if you're dead!
