New small sportbike from CSC. It uses the RX3 Cyclone drivetrain, has EFI and, astoundingly, ABS standard...and is about $3K new.

Anyone else heard of this one?

According to a friend that has ridden pretty much all bikes for his job, the CSC branded Zongshen bikes are pretty mediocre in all aspects. But that is to be somewhat expected at the cheap price point.

His opinion is that for now, a good used Japanese bike at a similar price, is a much better option.

...as long as you don't want ABS.

There are Japanese competitors which have ABS. There's a reason these Chinese bikes are cheaper. Eventually they might be competitive in all aspects. For now, you get what you pay for.

Yeah, some have ABS...for about $1000 more!

There are many riders that re thrilled with their Cyclones. (I am on a board with several.)

Also note: the Cyclone had no trouble with a Baja trip...and CSC was confident enough that they kept bikes in their press fleet for 5000+ miles.
