wow - Dr Deadlift

My Daughter does power-lifting and I was at her meet today. (she won gold in her class)
There was a competitor there they call Dr Deadlift. She weighs ~100lbs (44kg I think it said) and she did a dead lift of 385lbs. Just amazing.
Also saw a 175lb guy bench 440lb. pretty [censored] good

That is certainly impressive. Respect.

Max weight deadlifting places tremendous stress upon the lumbar Pars Interarticulari though. Ask my L4 vertebra.
 
Yes, it seems everyone in this country ONLY equates HUGE size/mass with any strength/power at all.

I want to start doing some jump roping like Sugar Ray. Lifting a ton of weight like that is impressive but can't be good for long term health. I like to push myself but also want to be able to move in the future.

Strength, mobility, and conditioning aren't mutually exclusive.

Are you currently doing anything?

This. Long limbs = good for sports. Short limbs = good for weight lifting.
