I've been looking at scratch removers & I'm wondering if they are just a gimmick to get people's money or if they actually work. I've got a clear coat scratch & it's not very deep. Is there a better one than others, or are they all the same?

I've watched ChrisFix & find his videos very informative. I wonder if the sanding is necessary or only for deep scratches.

You don't remove scratches, you buff the sharp edges of the scratch down. If a scratch goes through the clearcoat the area needs to be re cleared.

Most scratch removers are loaded with oils that will fill the scratch temporarily. The real way to do it is with a compound.

The sanding is only for the deep scratches.

Meguires Ultimate Compound works great for scratch removal.
