I have around 70k miles on used cooking oil and I have no problems. Water, salt, food, carbons all removed via a centrifuge. Know people with 150k to 200k on cooking oil without issues.

It all comes down to the cleaning process, and your fuel system on the vehicle. Its important to get the used cooking oil to 160 F or hotter before injection, so tjat its atomization is the same as lower temp diesel fuel. Other than that, its a wonderful fuel source, and can be had quite cheaply. For years I was getting it free, then at most I was paying a buck per gallon for it.

I ran 1984 Mercedes 300D ( Dual tank heated WVO sytem, and cetrifuge for processing WVO). I quit when the car was on its way out (auto trans problems) and lost my "free" WVO source. Now driving a 32-45 mpg gasser.
