I wonder if anyone has experience or knowledge about ZF Lifeguard5 ATF versus Pentosin ATF1 automatic transmission fluid. Someone suggested that the ZF ATF is made by Pentosin. Any opinion regarding which is best for a 2001 BMW 325i ? There is also the BMW ATF but I wonder if that is made by Pentosin or ZF. Any input would be appreciated.

Pentosin makes most OE fluids for European cars (except motor oil). I wouldn't be surprised if Pentosin made the ZF and BMW fluids.

Maxlife should work well in it too.

ATF1 meets BMW 83229407807 spec. Is that what your transmission need? Look if Lifeguard 5 meets the same and voila.

Yes, the BMW Specification is what my transmission requires. The ZF ATF fluid also meets it. Does that mean they are the same or if Pentosin makes it ? The Pentosin is fully synthetic. Is it ok to mix these ?
