Ive done every oil change since she bought it at 12k and this is the best filter I've taken out. The other filters were the promotive and purolator oil filters. They were not torn just real wavy.

Did on oil change on a coworkers 2012 chevy malibu with the 2.4 I4 today (33.3k on the car). Fill was PP 5w30 with a half quart top off about 5k through the oil change. OLM was at 18%.

Refilled with Pennzoil gold 5w30 and another acdelco PF457G. How good is this oil? I tried to look on the forum but couldn't find much.

Here are 'reviews' of the pennzoil gold http://www.pennzoil.com/motor-oil/pennzoil-gold-motor-oil/#Reviews

I remember when they were half the price and twice the quality of any of the other Ecotec filters. Still look great but the price isn't the best, at least not at brick'n'mortar stores.

this filter was expensive.

I've been getting deals on ACDelco cartridge filters on ebay for my Cruze (takes a different filter than yours). Also, Advance Auto sells than and you can shop online and use the $10 off $30 promo.
