Hi all! So today I decided to swing by a Napa auto parts store in Canada to do some price comparisons to Canadian tire and walmart since we dont have a ton of auto parts places like in the US. I was shocked as I hadnt been in many years. Just to give you an idea of price comparisons..all for my car in signature.

Oil Filter:
CT: Motomaster filter 7.69$ (Fram OCOD was more, Ultra is 13-14)
Napa: proselect 5$ gold:10$
WM: OCOD: 7.79$ (cheapest filter)

Air filters, CT had motomaster filter for 15$ and napa's was also 15$. Fram was 16-17 at both wm & CT

Cabin filter: CT & WM only had the fram freshbreeze for 26/24 respectively.
Napa had proselect for 16$ & im guessing gold for 26-27$. (Allergen type)

So I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone in Canada to check out your local Napa's in comparison to our other two options..I asked the guy if they had promotions and he got me even better prices...3.59$ for proselect oil filter and 12$ for cabin filter!! Both products seem to be fairly good quality construction too!

They also give discounts to CAA members on most mechanical parts up to 10%.

I changed out my cabin filter today also after only 6-8 months of service. Out came the TYC cabin filter, and in goes the Proselect. I figure I will likely buy in bulk for cheap and change them twice a year..mine seem to get dirty fast.

I'd check out the dealer price as well. Sometimes they'll surprise you.

I've bought oil filters (for my 2007 V6 Accord) on e-bay (HAMP) and at O'Reilly (WIX) while in the US.

I used to buy everything in USA...good point regarding dealers..I have found oil filters are good..(5.55$ each) and TGMO oil as well cheap but filters seem to be pricier then elsewhere.

Good show, Rolla. Watch their specials for synthetics. They've usually got a good deal going on for one of the SOPUS products, or their house synthetic, or one of the others. Their conventional specials aren't fantastic, and are probably worse than Canadian Tire's, but their synthetic specials tend to be better than Walmart's and Canadian Tire's.

I am not so sure about this. I did unbox the two, the Motomaster is made in china, and the Fram is made in USA. The Fram had a more pliable air filter (the surrounding part around the media was more like a bendable rubbery feel), while the Motomaster one was hard plastic and not pliable. The media was softer on the Fram vs the Motomaster. I think for the 2$ difference I would go with the Fram made in USA.

If you're in the mood to try PUP and aren't afraid of an EcoBox, NAPA Canada has them on special right now, along with other EcoBoxes. The price isn't fantastic, but is far better than "retail."

Are you able to find PUP elsewhere besides Napa? Its not bad.. but far more oil than I would need/want to spend on. I have a bit of a stash of 2$ oil from the US, so am likely good for a year or so.
