Oil for snowblower, 5w30... better or best oil?

It's a Poulan Pro. It's a Briggs on it. Great sounding engine.
 
Where I live, winter temps between 20 degF and 35 degF are the most common, and in that range I prefer PP 5W30 over M1 0W30, for its better viscometrics (lower KV and higher VI). But if I had to run the snowblower at -20 degF to -40 degF, then M1 would be my choice, because of its lower MRV.
