Bought a set of these tire about 10 days ago and have put about a thousand miles on them and I am very pleased with them. They are on a 2005 crown Vic in the size 225/60R/16 t- rated (118 mph). First off they have a very deep tread and the tread pattern is a little on the aggressive side for a passenger all season touring tire. With that they are a little noisy cruising at 70 mph on the interstate.Dry traction is very good with direct steering response. Wet traction is excellent as we have had a lot of rain the past 2 days. The Vic is a big car and it plows through the rain and is very stable. Will hold off some final judgement til some of the white stuff hits the ground. So far a very good tire for the price. Which for 4 tires mount and balance was under 400.00

I put a set of RT43s on my ex-g/f's '07 Subaru Impreza in 205/55-16 about a year ago. During that time my son and I drove the car from Florida to Washington state and back twice, encountering just about every kind of road condition and weather you can imagine. I was impressed, and would not hesitate to recommend them or buy another set for myself.

I have a set of these on my 03 Crown vic and I love them. I replaced a set of Vredestiens that where down to 4/32 tread and there was a night and day difference in handling and traction. They are slightly louder at high speed, but will gladly trade that for the ride and handling. I liked them enough after two weeks of use to put a set on my 97 escort, replacing the junky goodyear vivas that where on it. If they where available in 225/75-15's they would be on my van too. I recommend them, but it's all personal preference.

Can't wait for my Conti DWS's to wear out so I can try these tires!

So far my DWS's have about 40,000 kms on them with little sign of giving up. Still can perfectly see the "DWS" which should indicate I'm still ok for this winter....

After I get rid of the e30, I'm really thinking of getting a second set of wheels so I can run 14's in the winter on the Focus.

I have also bought a set of 4 RT43 2 days ago to replace my just worn out Hankook Optimo 4S, and I'm very impressed so far: quiet, authortative in terms of dry and wet handling (so far). In terms of quietness: I never thought I could hear my factory OE exhaust note from my fit (fully stock) while cruising down the city (which previously wasn't able to). I have not hit 60mph yet (work is within city) but will soon give it a try.

also: not tried it with sleet or wet snow yet (which is happening @ this moment in PNW), so I cannot tell if it excel or on par with my Optimo 4S (which is rated as all-weather, including ice).

The RT43s tested reasonably well in CR's most recent tire test. With that said, it is still a midgrade tire so it will be interesting to see if their performance remains the same as they age.

I am near the end of my 2nd set of Goodyear Viva II and I am considering the RT43 tire. They are priced pretty close. The Goodyear has upgraded to a Viva III with 70,000mi. The tires have been excellent tires at any speed, wet or dry. I have been impressed how they perform in snow and ice. Has anyone also ran these tires and more importantly could one do better with the RT43.

I have been considering the Hankook optimo also but I read it is a bit noisier. I know the Viva is very quiet. Hopefully the RT43 are as quiet too.

I have them on my Buick. The ride quality is excellent and they're good looking too.

Put a set of these (T rated) on my daughter's new Impreza due to seeing good ratings pretty much everywhere and we have been pleased so far. Still haven't had any snow to speak of up here in New England, but, as a student, she shouldn't be driving on really bad days when school should be cancelled. Still wanted good winter performance for her for those surprise mid-weekday snowfalls and times when the road clearing comes late or is poorly done.
I need new non-winter tires next year and these are definitely in the running.

I have had a set on my 2000 Jetta. Last winter they were amazing in the snow. Maybe not as good as snows, but much better than the Goodyear TripleTreds they replaced.
