They advertise that oil as "shear free".

With PDS figures
KV40 - 59cst
KV100 - 10cst

looks like they are right.

The 5W30 has an HTHS of 3.4, which would place it in my list of desirables.

Can only get the 10W40 (HTHS 4.4IIRC), and the 15W50 locally.

$80 for 5L is about the same as the regular Castrol/Shell offerings.

thanks for testing and posting. I am running the racing 5w30 in my Subaru forester 2.5L N/A engine as well. Good to know the Moly levels are higher in this oil compared to castrol. However only Repco sells it in my area.

Thanks for the post, don't get to see many Aussie UOA's, let alone with Aussie brand oil too! TBN 6.8 after 10,000kms wow and like Shannow said, no shearing at all. Be interesting to see how it fairs in something like a turbo DI engine.

BlueKelah, I have a 2.5L Forester N/A too. Going to do a UOA soon on the castrol edge 5W30 A3/B4. Almost 10,000kms too but twice the time (almost 18 months in use).

Penrite love their marketing. Without a doubt their racing oil is fine for both racing and normal driving seeing how high the TBN and additives are. They obviously have some body builders working for them because they take a similar approach to their marketing:

HPR10 EXTRA 10!!! Translation - 50 grade oil, use it even if you only require 40 because..... EXTRA 10 MAN!!!

Maximum SHRED cut iso100 WPI advanced formula! - Just a form of whey protein powder
