Gang,

Here is the UOA of the factory fill on my PSD. It was replaced with Chevron Delo 400 LE 5W-40. Nothing special to report; I assume copper to be from one of the oil coolers and silicon to be from gasket material(s).

Pretty impressed with Polaris--especially the cost versus that of Blackstone.

Yeah, no surprises - is 10W-30 the recommended? How long are you planning to go on the Delo?

10W-30 falls within the normal service range, but it does not take much to get into severe service. I will run the Delo for 5K and sample to see where I am and make a decision from there.

You can just run the oil out until the IOLM tells you to change it, then sample and go from there.
I have a sample that should be here within a day or so with approx 10,000 mi. using 10w-30.

1500 miles on OEM fill really has nothing to tell us overall.
Break in and residuals abound; no surprises there.

I echo the comment RR1 makes about the IOLM. That would be the point I'd pull a UOA and not before.
