I drive a 2001 Grand Am GT which was bought in September 2000. Back in 2003 or maybe 2004 I was having trouble with the turn signals not working and found out my car was part of a Hazard Switch recall which was the cause of the issue.

My car is now again having the same trouble.

Are recalls only preformed once in a vehicle lifetime? or can I go back many years later and have the service done again free of charge?

It should have been logged into their system. If you can provide proof that the repair was done at a GM dealership it is worth trying. I believe GM has lifetime warranty for any dealership work done

I know with VW that recall repairs have a complete lifetime warranty. GM should be the same.

It should be covered. You can call GM customer service and find out for sure. The dealer may initially give you the runaround so it's better to get the info directly from GM first.
