I use whatever 5 & 10w30 from my garage in my Briggs. No problems in the CA heat. Right now there is a mix of supertech syn 10w30 and Penz syn 5w30. Haven't changed the oil in 2 years but I use it for once every 2-3 weeks for 25 min intervals. Still running good and starts right up.
