Consensus aside, my 2WD F150 with a Detroit TrueTrac is not better than 4WD with open diffs, but today with 5" of loose snow, I kept going while I saw FWD cars with traction control get stuck. I have HT tires too. If you live where it snows and you have a 2WD truck, a locker sure makes life easier.
