Less than 5 dB...I would not consider that "shattering" by any means.
A 5dB increase is greater than double the acoustic energy...so quite a difference!

I am wearing hearing protection at the Seahawk games I go to on occasion.

If I lie in bed, concentrate on the noise, then imagine the same sound a semi-tone higher, I can make it go for 10 mins or so.

At first I didn't hear a thing. Then I thought to turn the volume up, ah there it is. His sounds a bit like a '50s era flying saucer. Sometimes my tinnitus starts to "chirp" it sounds a bit like cicadas, usually later in the evening.

I remember going to a Top Fuel drag event. Wore hearing protection sure did not sound like it!!!!!

Its loud every game and the tail gating is incredible. At 5 last night there was a layer of smoke over Arrowhead, the smell was awesome!!!
