Only catch is it's 5 weight racing oil!

http://www.amazon.com/Red-Line-10004-Race-Oil/dp/B003TQ2UM8

Do note that amazon themselves is the seller, and this is prime eligible.

Ya, they don't know what they are doing. Probably a qt price, since another size is "1 gallon case of 12" which is what?

You'll notice the other sizes aren't 5 weight though.

It's got a visc of 4.6 cSt @ 100C, which would make it somewhere near (but below) the new SAE 16 grade 0w16. You could make some interesting blends with that an M1 0w40.

Just checked item weight... 1.2 lbs, not a gallon by weight!

This oil would be a perfect match for me. I need some HQ oil to help thin out a stash of, 15W-50 Mobil 1, that I picked up a couple of years ago, on clearance, at K-Mart for $2 a quart.

Thanks to the OP for the POST!

Redline #10004 is defined as 1 single quart on this webpage:

Most Amazon oil threads on BITOG are just indications of how Amazon clearly doesn't know what they are selling, rather than a valid link to a great deal. Not saying there are no deals, but the amount of chaff to wade thru to get to the wheat is more bother than just ordering from a different place. My time is not $0/hr.

Every single time that Amazon has posted a deal such as this, wither knowingly or in complete ignorance, they have made it right (in my experience). If they themselves are selling or fulfilling the order, they have refunded my money in many instances, and I have got to keep the product.

Well, you guys were right. I received my shipment from amazon and received 16 litres instead of 16 gallons of Red Line 5wt Racing Oil. Tomorrow, I'll contact amazon and let them know that I only received a total of 4 Gallons of oil. Still, 4 Gallons of Red line at $15 a gallon is not a bad deal. Hope that Amazon will refund me for the missing 12 Gallons of Red Line. Cheers!
