That's because they add ask the additives for the high heat and anti frothing. Hmm kind of like diesel....

Plenty of boundary protection other than ZDDP in any synthetic 5w40.

Anyways, oil weight isn't what will kill you. It will be your coolant system.
And contrary to popular belief, it will be a thinner oil that will help you spool faster.


In addition install a coolant filter system,,,unless it is too late a coolant filter will save you lots down the road.
