Who knows about this fluid? It's suppose to be the cure all for Hyundai's gear grinding 6 sp manual on the Genesis Coupe. They say the stuff to get is only available in gallons. And is only for the Evo 8/9. Part number mz320340

They say that is the only size you can get. But I see quarts on ebay of Diaqueen 75w85 for the Evo 8/9 with part number MZ320197.

Friend of mine has 2010 lancer raliart that calls for that fluid, he got it in gallons from japan for 100 per gallon, worst design for a container for sure.

Is the diaqueen 75w85 all the same stuff no mater what the container? I'm told the quarts are a different oil even though they are the same weight

My Outlander calls for straight 80w and a straight 90w for the t-case and rear diff...of course it "had" to be DiaQueen. I replaced both with Mobile1 75w90 around 80k miles ago...about time for a change. Nothing has blown up yet. I can't imagine there is any secret sauce in there.

I don't know but they rave about it on the Genesis Coupe forum. Maybe after spending $200 on 2 gallons (one for flush, one for final fill)they don't want to find any faults though.

What you are looking at for $100 is the DCTF for the Lancer Ralliart. Those are only sold 4 liters at a time. You don't have to use Mitsubishi's insanely expensive fluid, Ravenol makes a DCTF which is a perfect replacement, and I use it.

That is completely different from 75w85 GL-4 that goes into certain evo transmissions, which might be sold in individual quarts or liters. Some other Mitsubishi manual transmissions used a 75w80 GL-3 that might be sold in quarts or liters.

I'm not sure if Mitsubishi 75w80 GL-3 or 75w85 GL-4 is what would work best in your Hyundai. You would have to know more about Hyundai's OEM fluid before determining what fluid to use.

Could you be a bit more specific on the Ravenol DCTF? And what does DCTF strand for? Thanks

Hyundia's OEM fluid secps is

MTF2-1L (Pentosin) BP CASTROL BOT 338,MTF-LT2 or equivalent (SAE 75W-80, LPI GL-4)

Looking up the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart sedan on Ravenol's web site says it's a special fluid and to contact them. Same for the 2007 Evo X.

Interesting:
http://www.blauparts.com/proddetail.asp?prod=J1D2111-B
Said it replaces:
Mitsubishi Dia-Queen SSTF-I
Mitsubishi Dia-Queen SST
Castrol BOT 341

3 fluids Mitsubishi used in the DCT. SSTF1 is what they sold in the USA and Japan, and Castrol BOT341 was sold in many other countries.

It works perfectly in my Ralliart.
