Hello,

My mom drives a Miata with a little over 100k miles on it. I'd like to change out the coolant this weekend before things get really hot. I think the car has had a bad thermostat that I replaced a few years back but other than that I don't know if any maintenance has been done on the cooling system.

I'm not sure what the recommended coolant would be for this car. Any suggestions of brands/types are appreciated. I only have done toyotas in the past and they make it easy by saying to use their long life coolant.

Thanks

After a good flushing, you can use anything.
Peak Global?
Cheap and readily available.
Older Japanese cars are not typically picky about any fluids.

Zerex Asian, or Mazda OEM coolant. Japanese cars from the 1990s are built for coolants with no silicates but include phosphates.
